Investment Philosophy

Atticus Wealth Management aims to minimize risk over our long-term time horizon, ranging from five to fifteen years. We control risk by employing a core and satellite approach, investing primarily in a core allocation of exchange-traded funds and a satellite of companies priced at a substantial discount to intrinsic value. By doing so, we limit our investments to diversified, liquid exchange-traded funds, high-quality bonds, and individual companies that have sustainable competitive advantages and earn superior cash returns on invested capital. Additionally, we understand that hard-working people who manage businesses must skillfully navigate their businesses in the face of real issues. As a result, we believe it's essential to evaluate each management team's stewardship, assessing their history and ability to add strength and value while generating excess returns for shareholders. We are not high-risk day traders or speculators. We are long-term owners of the best business enterprises in the world.

INVESTING ISN’T ABOUT BEATING OTHERS AT THEIR GAME. IT’S ABOUT CONTROLLING YOURSELF AT YOUR OWN GAME.
